Hi, I’m Will, but I’m just as happy to be called by my trail name, Leapfrog. I’m interested in backpacking, climbing, kayaking, and just about anything that gets me outside.
I’m an Eagle Scout and 2016 Appalachian Trail Thru-Hiker. On my northbound thru hike I learned a lot about myself, my gear, and what it means to be hiker trash. This 5 month trip instilled a love of backpacking and infrequent showers in me. I’ve got a long list of future trips planned across the country, from the modest Appalachians to the stately Sierras.
I’m 23 and a student at Ohio State, where I study environmental policy with hopes to protect the environment. I’m also the Trips Manager at the OSU Outdoor Adventure Center, connecting people with the outdoors whenever I can through climbing, backpacking, and paddling. I spend my free time on a rock wall, researching gear, or planning my next adventure. I’m excited to be part of the RRT crew and be in the outdoor industry working with people who share a similar passion for exploring and preserving the beautiful places across the world.
