Trail Name: Expedition

Howdy! My name is Joe. Although I am a chemist by trade, I spend my weekends working at RRT. I started here about two years ago and fell in love with the store itself and the people who make it so magical. When I am not working either of my jobs I can be found cycling in Kentucky, climbing at the gorge, or getting down and dirty in some cave.

I have always had a fondness for the outdoors. It started when I was a wee little boy scout and really matured when I joined the UC Mountaineering Club in college. My favorite things to talk about in the store are down equipment and layers (specifically anything Rab related). I also enjoy talking about Thule stuff because my “small” obsession with cars makes it easy for me to help customers

What trips are you currently day dreaming about?

Day drinking in a town in Germany, being at the back end of a trail somewhere, or going on a really long bike ride with good friends.

Is there a trip you are planning to do next?

Even though I don’t have anything official in the works, I am theorizing a trip back to Germany or going backpacking in the Maroon Bells.

What was the last trip you took?

I took a 2-week cross country road trip out west! It was about 6,000 miles in total and consisted of everything from rock climbing, to hiking, mountain biking, and even canyoneering.
